School Empowerment Network Focus Groups
Hello Salem Prep High School Students, Staff and Parent/Guardians,
Over the last several years, our school has made significant progress towards our vision of creating a therapeutic school where every student transitions from the program prepared with the necessary social, emotional and academic skills and mindsets to thrive and make positive contributions within their communities.
However, we can always improve and become more effective in our practice. In the spirit of continuous improvement, we will be working with an organization called the School Empowerment Network (SEN). SEN will be conducting School Quality Reviews (SQRs) throughout the school year to better understand our practices and help us to build on our successes. The reviewers from SEN would like to hear from any of you who would be willing to sit down with their reviewers and provide your insights into how the school operates, how we track towards our vision, and what our priorities are. We will be holding separate focus groups for staff, students and parent guardians. All teachers will be participating in the staff focus group, but please reach out to me if are not a teacher here, and you wish to be apart of these focus groups. My contact information is below my signature. The focus group meeting times are as follows:
Parent/Guardian Focus Group: Tuesday, October 19th from 10:20AM to 10:40AM
Student Focus Group: Tuesday, October 19th from 12:00PM to 12:30PM
Staff Focus Group: Tuesday, October 19th from 12:30PM to 1:00PM
If you are interested in participating in these discussions, please reach out to me so that I can make space for you in the meeting. I have created a virtual option for anyone who will not be able to attend the meetings in person but still want to participate. These links are pasted below:
