Vicki States

(She/Her/Hers)

Special Education Teacher

Ms. States is a native of Massachusetts and has been living in Salem since Spring 2020. This is her 26th year teaching and in that time she has had the honor of teaching all grade levels. Her educational background consists of a Bachelors degree in Human Services from Fitchburg State University, a Masters degree in Special Education from Old Dominion University, and a Masters degree in History from Southern New Hampshire University. Ms. States worked in private, inner-city, and suburban school districts in Virginia and Massachusetts. She is married with one son and the rest of her family includes two cats. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, going on walks, being near the ocean, traveling, listening to music, going to museums, and trying new foods and/or going on new adventures. In her spare time; she paints, studies WWII, reads mainly non-fiction, historical works and/or memoirs (but will read pretty much anything of interest to her), and she likes to watch an array of movies, documentaries, and international TV/movies. Ms. States is excited to be a part of Salem Prep High School and looking forward to a great rest of the school year and beyond.
